The Boler Legacy
The Boler Legacy
John Boler began his career as a promising young graduate of the College of Business. After graduating in 1956, he moved quickly up the corporate ladder, beginning at Clevite Corporation’s Corporate office and then moving on to its parent company, the Gould Corporation. By age 43 he had facilitated or participated in 20 mergers and acquisitions for Gould. In 1977, he left Gould, Inc., and started his own company which would eventually become The Boler Company.
Over the years, The Boler Company has become one of the world’s largest suppliers of truck suspensions and other vital components for the transportation industry. Their innovative development and design of component parts have earned them national recognition as an industry leader.
In addition to being an incredibly successful entrepreneur and generous benefactors, John and Mary Jo Boler are exceptionally nice people who have been instrumental in helping the Boler College of Business continue its efforts to improve our business school offering.
